So, I like taking pictures of the food I order at restaurants or make. It's fun for me. So here is the first installment of " I ordered/made this food, doesn't it look good!?"
Nicose is a salad made with anchovies, cucumbers, black olives, and tomatoes. It's one of those things chefs do a million variations of.
This is what the "Joy of Cooking" has to say about it... "This recipe from the South of France is often carried to the point of agreeable anarchy, when it becomes a salmagundi, and is apt to include strips of cooked chicken, seedless grapes or little onions, and hard cooked eggs. In compounding, keep in mind the law of diminishing returns."
I love the "Joy". In our house, when I was a kid, my Mom referred to it as her Bible. All kinds of good info in there.

It was amazing!
I added the definition of Nicoise because I didnt know exactly what it meant. My interpretation is that it means Made From Nice, France.
